A guide book giving a history of the house and garden is available
price £2.50.
Postcards
A selection is available price 50p each.
Dangers!
There are small ponds, a lake and river in the garden. Some of the
stone paths are uneven.
Plant Sales
There is a selection of plants from the garden for sale.
Dogs
We regret that no dogs are allowed in the garden with the exception
of Guide Dogs. Dogs may be exercised in the car park field on a
lead.
Disabled Access
Disabled visitors are most welcome to the garden. However there
are parts that are not accessible at all to wheelchairs and others
that are not easily reached. Special parking arrangements can be
made in advance for those with impaired mobility which is as close
to the garden as possible.
Lavatory Facilities
These are very limited and regrettably not suited for wheelchair
access.
Car Parking
There is ample free parking in the field.
Please follow Car Park signs in Vann Lane. There must be no parking
in the road.
Coaches must park by prior arrangement.
Picnics
We regret that no picnics may be taken in the garden however you
are welcome to picnic in the car park field. Please take any rubbish
home with you.
Photography
Photographs for personal use may be taken. A facilitation fee is
charged for any commercial use, by prior arrangement only.
Group Information
Pre-booked groups are most welcome. We recommend 1-2 hours to visit
the garden, all of which is open to the public. All groups (15 pax
minimum) must be pre-booked using the Group
booking form.
The cost is £5.00 per person.
A Garden Tour with an introductory talk by a family member can be
arranged for group visits.
The cost is £6.00 per person.
Refreshments available for group visits only (except for NGS Open
Day teas):
Morning tea or coffee with home-made biscuits.
Lunch.
Afternoon tea with iced home-made cakes.
These can all be served in the historic barn, attached to the
main house.
